Often described as a born leader, I possess a natural gift for leadership that has propelled me to serve on numerous leadership boards globally.
These leadership boards provide me with a platform to share insights, offer recommendations, and conduct training sessions on the nuances of servant leadership. I firmly believe that leadership is not about exerting authority but serving, empowering, and uplifting those around us. My engagements aim to inspire and equip individuals to embrace leadership as a force for positive change.
Before embarking on my doctoral journey, I worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in East and Central Africa. This experience deeply impacted my perspective on diversity and inclusion, especially concerning refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). Witnessing their resilience and struggles shifted my thinking patterns and heightened my commitment to advocating for their rights and well-being.
The stark realities I witnessed compelled me to rethink my path, leading me away from practicing law despite holding a master’s degree in Human Rights Law. The overwhelming emotions stirred within me made it clear that my advocacy and commitment would be more effectively channeled through alternative means. Writing emerged as my chosen medium, allowing me to convey thoughts and emotions with precision and depth. This blog, born from this realization, serves as a space where I can articulate my thoughts, share experiences, and engage with a broader audience on a diverse range of topics.
Beyond my exploration of leadership and writing, I’ve honed my skills as a communications expert. I’ve been a ghostwriter for diverse organizations and individuals across the United States and Africa. Crafting narratives that resonate and communicate effectively has been a fulfilling endeavor that reinforces the power of effective communication.
My faith as a Christian is an integral part of who I am. The wisdom and teachings of the Word of God continue to shape my perspective and guide my actions. It’s a source of unwavering strength, and I’m grateful for the principles it instills in my life.
On the professional front, I also wear the hat of a Cybersecurity Analyst. Presently, I serve as the Information Security Communications Strategist at Navy Federal Credit Union—the largest credit union globally. In this role, I navigate the intricate landscape of cybersecurity, safeguarding vital digital assets and promoting awareness about online security.
While my journey has taken me across continents and various roles, my passions converge in this blog. I invite you to journey alongside me as we explore, discuss, and learn together. Thank you for being a part of this space, and I’m eager to connect with you through our shared experiences and conversations.
