More Than One Story
I am a scholar, writer, professional, Christian, soldier, and lifelong learner. My academic, professional, and personal experiences have taken me across different disciplines, communities, and environments, each shaping the way I understand people, organizations, communication, leadership, and service.
I hold a Ph.D. in Organizational and Strategic Leadership from Regent University in Virginia, USA, and a master’s degree in Human Rights Law and Humanitarian Action. My professional experience spans humanitarian work, writing and strategic communications, cybersecurity, information security, risk management, and organizational leadership.
This website brings these different experiences together through stories, reflections, ideas, and conversations about the things that continue to interest me and shape the way I see the world.

The Experiences That Shaped Me

Academic & Leadership
My academic work has given me the opportunity to explore organizational leadership, strategy, human behavior, communication, and the principles that help individuals and organizations thrive.
Over the years, I have also served in various leadership capacities, contributed to leadership boards and initiatives, provided strategic recommendations, mentored others, and supported conversations around leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
I believe leadership is ultimately about responsibility, influence, and creating opportunities for others to grow and contribute.
Humanitarian Work & Advocacy
Before beginning my doctoral journey, I worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in East and Central Africa.
That experience gave me a closer understanding of displacement, diversity, inclusion, resilience, and the realities faced by refugees and internally displaced persons. It also shaped my interest in advocacy and strengthened my desire to contribute to conversations that matter.
My background in Human Rights Law and Humanitarian Action continues to influence how I think about people, dignity, society, and meaningful contribution.

Writing, Work & Service
Writing has become one of the ways I communicate ideas, document experiences, challenge perspectives, and contribute to important conversations. I have worked as a writer and ghostwriter for individuals and organizations in the United States and Africa.
My professional experience also extends into cybersecurity, information security, risk management, and strategic communications. These experiences have given me an appreciation for the relationship between people, technology, communication, strategy, and organizational resilience.
I also serve in the United States Army National Guard, where I continue to develop a deeper understanding of discipline, teamwork, accountability, resilience, duty, and selfless service.
Faith & The Values That Guide Me
My Christian faith is central to who I am. It shapes my worldview and influences how I approach leadership, service, relationships, work, and everyday life.
The values of humility, love, integrity, responsibility, excellence, and service continue to guide how I seek to live and engage with others.
Why I Write
This blog grew from my desire to communicate ideas, reflect on experiences, ask questions, and share lessons gathered along the way.
Some of what I write will be about leadership and professional life. Some will explore faith, personal growth, society, relationships, or experiences that have changed the way I see things.
I do not have all the answers. But I enjoy asking the questions, learning from experience, and having meaningful conversations.
Thank you for being here.
